Amy joined ALA as the Development Director in 2016. Prior to joining ALA, she served as the Program Director for an international human rights organization, gaining three years of experience in the nonprofit field as an immigration attorney and grants manager. Amy started as a volunteer for ALA in 2010, helping with the immigration clinics as well as housing and domestic violence related cases. She was also the recipient of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Silicon Valley, Vietnamese American Bar Association of Northern California, and Women in Law’s scholarships, which helped to support her desire to pursue a career in public interest work.
Amy received her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law, M.A. in Economics at the University of South Carolina, B.A. in Ethnic Studies and B.A. in Economics from the University of California, San Diego. She remains actively involved in her community, serving as Treasurer for the Vietnamese American Roundtable.
