Minh-Chau Nguyen first joined the ALA staff in 2013 to provide representation in naturalization, DACA, and other immigration cases.
In law school, Minh-Chau was Co-Chair of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association. She participated in the Domestic Violence Law Clinic, interned for the US Attorney’s Office, served on the Boalt Hall Admissions Committee, and externed for Judge Lucy H. Koh. She also played for the Cal Women’s Table Tennis Team. She received scholarship awards from the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Silicon Valley, Vietnamese American Bar Association of Northern California (VABANC), and the Asian American Women’s Alliance.
Prior to joining ALA, Minh-Chau worked as Congressional Counsel for U.S. Representative Zoe Lofgren. Minh-Chau remains active in the community and served as the President of the VABANC in 2015. She received her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley and her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall).
